How can a Degree in Design Help you Register Success in Life

As the Indian Education System has gone through an earthshattering evolution, a lot of top-tier universities have realised the urgent need to do away with rote learning and courses which do not make sense anymore. They now have included subjects which new-age children look forward to opting for or which were only available in reputed global universities. That’s why, releasing the importance of programmes beyond engineering and MBA, many universities in India now offer contemporary courses. One such course is Bachelor of Design (B.Des) or B.Designwhich is a 4-year duration degree in the design field at the undergraduate level.

This degree trains you in various fields such as Fashion Designing, Interior Designing, Accessory Designing, and much more.  A premier university will always focus on aspects besides the conventional curriculum. For example, it will not just prepare you in a particular degree or a particular domain but will also train you for life by clubbing various subjects with the degree you are pursuing. With this course, students are fostered to understand technologies like AI, IoT, and automation that are transforming the nature of Design. They are enabled to develop a deep sense of empathy with the design’s role in building society.

For B.Des admission, a candidate needs minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST Candidates), from a recognised Central/State Board/University Examination in India or any foreign country recognised as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). However, students appearing in the final examination of 10+2 may also apply. The applicants are required to appear in one of the national level design admission tests, such as UCEED or NID DAT. In case the candidate has not taken any national-level design tests, they will have to appear in the JKLU Design Entrance Test (DET) to qualify for the programme. The advancement in the education system has led to the mushrooming of various universities in India. Despite this, students must be careful before making a choice. Not just bigger cities but smaller cities too are getting renowned for the quality of education they render. For example, the best private university in Rajasthan is JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) which in a short period has created a storm in the market about its global standard of education. This university is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and University Grants Commission (UGC),.
