Why should you choose to Pursue Law Courses

Law is one of the career-oriented courses we can do after the 12th. Law is a career stream that applicants pursue at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) or doctorate (PhD) level so they can do practice in the legal profession and law as a career is very famous among students in India. Law has many different branches of specialization such as criminal law, environmental law, copyright law, employment law, human rights law, contract law and corporate law.

Nowadays, law graduates are not confined to courtrooms wearing a black & white uniform but also make their attendance feel in corporate houses, law firms, law agencies, administrative services and the likes. Therefore, the Law Commission of India has been decided to set up a University for Law Education to increase the educational standard of the legal profession in India in the year 1985.

Applicants can pursue a degree at UG, PG, and PhD levels. Here are some law courses which are given below:

Degree law courses: Applicants can take admission in either an integrated law degree (BA LLB, BBA LLB, BSc LLB, B.Com LLB etc.) after clearing Class 12th or a joint LLB degree after graduation. The period of an integrated LLB degree is usually five years, and that of an average LLB degree is three years.

BBA LLB programme requires working for a long hour, so you can open to going through a lot of reading material. Other key skills that aspirants should possess to perform well in the BBA LLB course are:

If you are hard-working and sincere, you can choose law as your profession. The freshers may have to work under a reputed legal firm to kickstart their careers. In India, only 20% of law students choose to pursue legal solicitation as their mainstream career. 

A law learner can be a public prosecutor, solicitor general or a part of private legal firms after gaining experience. The law students can appear for the Judiciary test conducted by the Public Service Commissions and can become court magistrates.  

A good lawyer is working in ministries, government departments and various legal advice organizations. So, it is a good prospect to work in Great Britain and the U.S. The law of India is just similar to the law of Great Britain. The firms and the Great Britain government offer the Indian learners to work with them as legal concerns.

Salary in law field

In this course, the income is the best part of the profession because there is no limit of salaries if you have good skills and are practising individually. When you complete your course, you work under the experts as an intern, and then you can make the 5000 – 20000 per month as a stipend. By working independently in court, you can earn 20000 to 50000 per month. Law programme is one of the most important parts of our constitution. Therefore, law education degrees are designated with the post of a Lawyer. The course of law in India is currently offered by many universities and at various academic levels. It is known as a master’s degree in this legal course and has the option of one or two-year duration.
